The entire point of your life was supposed to be the holy life - becoming Enlightened - and then nothing further for the world once that is completed. In this context, it makes perfect sense to avoid idle chatter, because idle chatter doesn't lead to enlightenment. Of course, in a regular life, I agree entirely - I would hate to hang out with people who don't shoot the shit or joke around etc.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
